Position Requirements

Accountant
This position reports to the company Controller and is responsible for reconciling various general ledger accounts, assist with closing the financials by preparing journal entries, account analyses, and audit schedules as well as assist with the preparation and filing of various reports/returns. The successful candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Experience in a retail environment is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel and 10-key calculator.

Associate Merchant
Responsible for the procurement and buying activities of assigned products or product related areas for all store locations. This requires the proper selection of merchandise, reliable sources for merchandise, placing orders in a systematic and timely manner, arranging for the routing of shipments from vendors or manufacturers to the proper destination, and creating & implementing successful marketing programs.

This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of retail experience, three (3) of which were continuous with same company, preferably in the hardware industry, and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory or Inventory Control experience. Must be able to effectively negotiate with distributors, vendors, and other merchandising contacts.

Cashier
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Excellent customer service and telephone skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Minimum of six (6) months of cashiering experience. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard.

Custodian
Service-oriented individual to maintain the overall cleanliness of store facilities. Minimum of 12 months continuous professional custodial experience, preferred and HS Diploma or equivalent required. Must be dependable and flexible and have a positive attitude.

Head Cashier
2 years customer service experience, H.S. diploma and 1 years cash handling experience

Inventory Control Supervisor
High school graduate with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and at least 3 year of retail experience, preferably in a retail hardware setting, this may be the perfect job for you. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented with good math and computer skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.

Sales Associate
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of 12 continuous months retail experience preferred. Excellent customer service and telephone skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Supervisor
Seeking individuals with minimum 3 years retail experience and 2 years supervisory experience, with at least 12 months in a hardware or home improvement setting. Excellent customer service and communication skills. High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred. Proven ability to train, coach and evaluate personnel. Must be able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Training & Development Administrator
The Training & Development Coordinator is a key part of our customer service excellence program. This position will work to plan, coordinate, direct and present training/staff development programs to insure City Mill’s position as a leader in customer service. Manages the Training Assistant and In-Store Training Coordinators. Minimum of five years of retail experience, preferably in a hardware or home improvement setting, five years experience in training or staff development, a bachelors degree, excellent verbal and written skills, and a driver’s license, this may be the perfect position for you.

Other Requirements
Upon completing your employment application, you have completed the first step in our employment process. However, every applicant is required to pass a basic math test before their application can be considered.

Math tests are administered by our Human Resources Department Monday thru Thursday between 8:30am and 3:30pm (no appointment necessary). Our Human Resources Deparment is located at 660 N. Nimitz Hwy. in Honolulu. Failure to comply with this requirement will disqualify you from further consideration.
