Q: There Is a specific cable for charging flip 36 with nomad 10? does the flip 36 connect directly to Nomad 10 like flip 12? but...If I put my nomad 10 over the rucksack for recharge in trekking, how I can I connect the flip 36 to the panel?

A: The Flip 36 will connect to the back of the Nomad 10 like the Flip 12 does. However, if the panel needs to be laid down flat, we would suggesting using a short USB-A "male" to USB-A "female" extension cable between the panel and the Flip 36.

Q: The tracking program on my iPhone 7 plus uses a lot of energy during an 8-hour hike or fishing trip.  Will this device provide the extra charge I need, or do you recommend another of your products?

A: Yes, the Flip 36 will recharge an Iphone 7 roughly 2.5-3 times before needing to be recharged. You can also charge your Iphone while using the tracking app, which would extend your Iphones runtime significantly.

Q: Will the Flip batteries "die" in cold weather like my cell phone battery does?

A: The Flips operate best in temps ranging from 32-104 degrees F. The battery will certainly drain quicker in temps below 32 degrees F. We recommend keeping it insulted in a pocket or case when used in colder temps.

Q: What is the IPX rating for this product?

A: The Flip 36 does not have an IPX rating.

Q: Will this work with older nomad 7 solar panels?

A: Yes, the Flip 36 will recharge from the older Nomad 7 Solar panels.

Q: Is there a difference between loading the flip-36 with USB 2.0 or 3.0 in question of the charging time?

A: The Flip 36's USB input charging port can accept 5 volts, up to 2.1 amps (10.5 watts). So, the fastest it can be charged from 0-100% is about 3.4 hours. The Flip 36 will certainly charge a little bit faster with a 3 amp USB output port than a 2 amp port. However, all that is needed in order to charge the Flip 36 at its fastest rate is a 2.4 amp USB port.

Q: With the same batteries and dimensions as the flip 30 how does it have higher capacity

A: The Flip 36 has three 18650 batteries with an improved capacity totaling at 10,050mAh. The Flip 30 has three 18650 batteries with a capacity totaling at only 7800mAh.

Q: Can the Flip 36 be charged from a 110v and 220v power source?

A: Yes, the Flips can be charged from a 110v or 220v source when using a standard USB wall adapter.

Q: Can the Flip 36 be taken onto a plane?

A: Yes, you can take a battery that is as large as 100 watt hours on an airplane with you. The Flip 36 is only a 36 watt hour battery pack.
