Replacing outlets is a simple DIY project to do on single wall homes. The electrical wiring of a single wall home is run on the interior surface of the wall and covered with a wood molding trim.

IMPORTANT. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker box.

Step 1

Locate wire feed position on box.

Step 2

Punch hole for wire access.

Step 3

Mount outlet box to wall.

Step 4

Connect wiring to outlet.

Step 5

Screw outlet to box

Step 6

Install face plate and turn power back on from the circuit breaker box.

Step 7

Test outlet with outlet tester.
